Hi, I like BingSnap very much.
I have a few computers and I installed BingSnap on each of them to get the Bing Image of the day.
Each of them has a different Image Region selection because Bing Image of the day varies sometimes from one region to another.
So I have set EN-CA, FR-CA, EN-NZ and EN-UK, and I save the daily images on each computer.
Since June 18th, it seems that Image Region selection has no effect.
All my computers get the same Bing Image of the day from EN-CA.
For example, on June 18th, my computer set for FR-CA saved the same image twice "JabiruStork_FR-CA2937645683_1920x1200.jpg" and "JabiruStork_EN-CA8606728490_1920x1200.jpg". Since then, it saves EN-CA images instead of FR-CA.
All my computers run Windows 10 v2004.
All my computers have their Windows Region set to EN-CA.
The BingSnap regions are set to EN-CA, FR-CA, EN-NZ and EN-UK, but all receive the EN-CA images.
BingSnap version is 2.0 SR2 (64bit) on 3 of them and 2.2 on one of them, but the problem is the same on all 4.

Thanks for your comments and query on BingSnap.

The behavior you are getting is the expected one, most of the times most regions will have the same image.
What you are experience since June 18th I don't think it's a BingSnap issue, maybe they are not changing images anymore between regions.

What I found out about the different regions is that they will receive all the images anyway so I don't think it's something you should worry about.

If you check this site (https://bingwallpaper.anerg.com/), you'll see that the Bing image set is different from one country to another.
Yes, the images are most of the time the same, but there are some differences.
For example, today's NZ image is Sunflowers, and CA is the Boreal Forest.
Now, on one of my computer, if I select BingSnap Region to EN-CA, then I get this image "TransTaiga_EN-CA5351634771_1920x1200" which is OK.
But if I select EN-NZ and refresh, I get the same image "TransTaiga_EN-CA5351634771_1920x1200" instead of the NZ Sunflowers.
Before June 18th it worked fine.
I remember, around that time, making changes to the Windows services.
Can you tell me which Windows services your app is using?

Thanks for the example of today's Canada image.
I can confirm that only the default region is being obtained. I found an issue and have fixed it. It's strange because it was an old bug, but getting the region was working before. They must have made changes to the URL request.

Anyway do you want to test this new version? I can give you a link, just tell me if you want the 32 or 64 bit version.

BingSnap get's the image directly from the Bing servers via normal download. It does however rely on Windows to get the current computer region (when the option is default)

Hi,
I installed the new version, but today's image is the same across regions.
However, the fix seems to work because the saved image names are different:
NantucketIsland_EN-CA4306447575_1920x1200.jpg for EN-CA
NantucketIsland_ROW4748894025_1920x1200.jpg for EN-NZ
NantucketIsland_EN-GB1576021251_1920x1200.jpg for EN-UK
NantucketIsland_FR-CA0236047754_1920x1200.jpg for FR-CA
So I think it's OK.

Yes, today is a "bad" day for Bing image testing.
I was able to fix it yesterday and was able to get the Canada specific wallpaper.
