In Twistpad 3.11 auto indent on new line inserts an extra tab (or spaces).

before:
------------
abc|

after:
------------
abc
|

Preferences | Editor | Indent and Tabs | [*] Auto indent on new line

I have tried it with tab characters and spaces instead of tabs, with and without auto detection, and with and without Smart tabs -- the result is the same.

Hi Donald,

I'm not sure if I understand the issue you report on auto indent on new line.
Auto indent aligns the cursor with indentation of the previous line:
.....Line 1<press enter>
.....| <cursor goes here

With the option switched off:
.....Line 1<press enter>
| <cursor goes here

Additionally you can use the <SHIFT> or the <CTRL> down while pressing enter
With CTRL+ENTER it will create a new live above the present one.
with SHIT+ENTER (anywhere on the line, it will create a new line below without breaking the current one) -> in fact i can see an issue here that it will always have an extra space, is this the issue?)

Yes, that is what I'm seeing -- the extra space/tab when I key Shift+Enter.
