Liking the new tabs in latest version, but appear to have a problem with File Browser - no files are displayed whatever i do.

This is on Vista Premium - 32 bit with SP1

Let me know if you need any more info.

Hi

Thank you for trying out the latest version.

Let's do this way:

exit Twistpad if it's open

open in Notepad the file C:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\Application Data\Carthago\Twistpad\Twistpad.settings

replace <yourusername> with the user name you usually log on to windows.

if you are using a portable version, locate the Twistpad.settings in the same folder of the portable executable.

do a search for: [FileBrowser]

notepad should find something like :
[FileBrowser]
Sort=1
Order=0,1,2,3,
Width=92,12,114,164,

(please if possible copy your current FileBrowser section here for debug)

delete this section (from [FileBrowser] to width=x,x,x,x,

save the file and open Twistpad, let me know if the columns appeared.

I think most likely the columns are reset to zero, but i would like more info to provide a fix for this in 1.64 beta 2.

Apologies mate, i did copy the Section, but then managed to lose it - your advice did work though - deleting that section and then restarting - the file browser pane now works as expected.

From what i remember the columns in my original settings file were not set to zero ?

Sorry i can't be more helpful - if it happens again, will keep a copy of the settings file for you.

Hi Phat,

No worries, glad that the solution, although not very elegant, solved the problem.

I will nevertheless provide a small fix for this in the next version, but since I'm not sure what happened in your case, I will keep an eye on this problem.
