I thought I had found the solution by changing - in the HTML syntax file - the keywords 1 to 6 for the html tags to lowercase - but that sdf file doesn't let itself to be saved after changes

I managed to change the keywords in programdata/carthago/twistpad/syntax/HTML sdf by taking it out this folder to an other location and changing the content - and then overwriting it in the programdata/carthago/twistpad/syntax folder

the result is now
Keyword1=!DOCTYPE;a;abbr;acronym;address;applet;area;b;base;basefont;b do;bgsound;big;blink;blockquote;body;br;button;caption;
Keyword2=center;cite;code;col;colgroup;dd;del;dfn;dir;div;dl;dt;em;emb ed;fieldset;font;form;frame;frameset;h1;h2;h3;h4;h5;h6;head;
Keyword3=hr;html;i;iframe;ilayer;img;input;ins;isindex;kbd;keygen;labe l;layer;legend;li;link;listing;map;menu;meta;multicol;nobr;
Keyword4=noembed;noframes;nolayer;noscript;object;ol;optgroup;option;p ;param;plaintext;pre;q;s;samp;script;select;server;small;
Keyword5=sound;spacer;span;strike;strong;style;sub;sup;tbody;textarea; title;tt;u;ul;var;wbr;xmp;table;
Keyword6=td;tr;
Keyword7=
Keyword8=
Keyword9=
Keyword10=
etc

my questions are now
1
since the html5 tags are not in here
can I add these in keyword7 etc
or have they to be added alphabetically starting from keyword 1 etc
3
I added a few ';' at the end of the lines - correct ?
2
where would I add the css3 tags ?

oeps ! I return to the first question : how can I have the tags in lowercase - other than than using the edit/change case each time from the menu
and I have noticed that autocomplete does not work for a css file

Hi Antoine,

you we're doing it right, the auto-complete reads the words from the SDF file...

You did edit the file but you must restart Twistpad in order for it to refresh the HTML keywords.

Yes you can add the HTML5 specification tags on keyword7 and beyond.

For the CSS3 tags you should create a new header group, similar to the [kCSSKeys] group

Let me know if you need further info.
Thanks,

Hi Andre
tanx for the reply

there is more than create a new header group, I think ! :)
and there is more than the keyword lines, , I think ! :)
and I have to admit :) - it has become kind of a challenge to make my own simple autocomplete sdf files

is it important that the words are alphabetically arranged ?
does a line of keywords have to end with an ';' also ?

DO YOU KNOW OF SOME TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE THESE AUTOCOMPLETE SDF FILES ?

these lines = PROBABLY IMPORTANT !?
kCSSKeys]
Type=keyword
Context=105
Scope=13
Priority=10
WholeWordOnly=1
the specification lines on top of each sdf file = PROBABLY IMPORTANT !?
THESE ARE PROBABLY OTHER IMPORTANT PARAMETERS

the ctrl spacebar does not work for a css file !
is it because of the css sdf file or the html sdf file ?
or because of some context number or type ?

should the css3 be added in the html sdf only or also in the css sdf ?

Hi Antoine,

Yes there is a tutorial on SDF files, refer to the help file, on Advanced topics - "SDF File Definition".

And yes.. a CSS file have it's own SDF, different from the HTML, so to have the definition on css3 you need to update both.

Anyway I will try to find HTML5 \ CSS3 specifications to add it to the HTML\CSS file.

Thanks
